Who are the best cloud RADIUS providers for Entra ID and Intune in 2026? Three cloud RADIUS services on a podium

What are the 8 Best Cloud RADIUS Providers for 2026, Ranked

As you move to the cloud, NPS stops working for your organization. NPS cannot authenticate cloud only accounts, and since Microsoft does not offer a cloud RADIUS service, you’re left finding a cloud RADIUS service that will meet your expectations while also having a track record of high availability.

In this guide, we rank the eight best cloud RADIUS providers for 2026 to help you make the right choice.

What Should You Look for in a Cloud RADIUS Provider?

Every provider on this list supports all the most popular RADIUS protocols and can authenticate your users. So they meet the minimum expectations. But what separates the best cloud RADIUS providers from the rest is everything around that authentication. Here is what we scored on, weighted for organizations that run on Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune:

  • Certificates without needing a second vendor. EAP-TLS is the right way to authenticate to Wi-Fi, and that means you need a PKI (public key infrastructure). A RADIUS provider that also includes a PKI solution for certificate issuance and management saves you a second contract, a second portal, and a second vendor to blame during an outage. But we also gave bonus points if it also accepts certificates from a PKI you already have (no need to pay extra if you don’t need one).
  • Native Entra ID and Intune checks at authentication time. A valid certificate only proves that a device was trusted when the certificate was issued, and when the revocation list was last updated (which could be days ago). The best providers check in real time that the user is still enabled in Entra ID, still in the right group, and that the device is still compliant in Intune.
  • A path off passwords that still works today. Credential Guard broke MS-CHAPv2 in Windows 11, so PEAP is on borrowed time. You want certificates as the default, with Entra ID username and password over EAP-TTLS as a fallback for the devices that cannot do certificates. Two of our vendors went above and beyond and have an app where you authenticate to Entra ID MFA and in the backend they authenticate you with a certificate.
  • BYOD without forcing MDM. Contractors, students, and personal phones need to get on the network too, and “enroll your personal phone in Intune” is not an option for a lot of organizations so that is also taken into account.
  • Resilience you control. Multi-region failover, RadSec, and ideally a local proxy, so a fiber cut does not take down every office at once.
  • Data residency and government clouds. If you are in Europe, Australia, Canada, or Azure GCC High, having control over where authentication data lives is not a nice to have, it is a requirement.
  • A central management portal for MSPs. If you manage Wi-Fi authentication for more than one customer, you don’t want to be logging into each of your customer’s portals and managing it there, instead, mature RADIUS providers have a portal where you can manage all your customers in one places. We checked each vendor’s public documentation for a true multi-tenant MSP portal and marked “None documented” where we could not find one.
  • Pricing you can see without a sales call. If you cannot estimate the bill from the website, you will not like the bill. Also hidden fees or extra charges on basic features such as logging will be heavily penalized in our rankings.

The 8 Best Cloud RADIUS Providers for 2026, Ranked

#1 - Keytos Shield: The Best All-in-One Cloud RADIUS Provider

Best for: organizations of any size that want cloud RADIUS, a cloud PKI, and BYOD onboarding in a single subscription. It even includes passwordless onboarding so if you are eying YubiKeys or Passkeys then Shield becomes a no brainer

Here is the dirty secret of cloud RADIUS: the RADIUS part is the easy part. The hard part is getting a certificate onto every laptop, phone, and tablet so they can use EAP-TLS, which is why most “cloud RADIUS” projects quietly turn into “stand up a PKI first” projects. Keytos Shield removes that step. It is a single SaaS platform that includes a cloud PKI, cloud RADIUS, and BYOD onboarding, set up through one onboarding flow that connects to your Entra ID tenant and your MDM in under 10 minutes and the best part? You don’t have to pay extra for the PKI, it includes an HSM backed Root and Issuing CA.

Here is why it takes first place:

  • The PKI is included, not upsold. Every Shield subscription comes with a multi-tier, HSM-backed cloud PKI at no additional cost, with unlimited SCEP and device ACME certificates for Intune, Jamf Pro, and other MDMs. Have an existing AD CS environment? Shield can chain to it, so you do not need a separate root of trust.
  • It runs on the same RADIUS engine as EZRADIUS. Shield sits on top of the same core infrastructure as EZCA and EZRADIUS, which serves over 1,300 organizations. That means EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS with Entra ID usernames and passwords, legacy MS-CHAPv2 and PAP, MAC Authentication Bypass, RadSec, a local RADIUS proxy, and 20+ regions to choose from.
  • BYOD is one click. The free Keytos Connect app for iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS lets users sign in with their work account, get a certificate from your Shield PKI, and connect over EAP-TLS. No shared passwords and no MDM enrollment on personal devices and no EAP-TTLS\PAP that depends on Entra ID still supporting passwords on their API.
  • The simplest pricing in the category. Shield starts at $1.50 per user per month and drops to $0.15 per user at scale, with no minimums, no base fee, and no per-certificate or per-authentication charges. Users can have as many devices as they want without changing your bill, and it can be charged your Azure subscription meaning that it counts for your MACC Commitment with Microsoft.
  • Sovereign and government clouds. Shield is available in dedicated European, Australian, Latin America, Canada, Middle East, Asia, USA Public and US Government instances, and Keytos is the only cloud PKI and cloud RADIUS provider available natively in Azure GCC High, at the same price as commercial. That matters a lot if you are working toward CMMC.
  • Multi-Region Central Management For large organizations with offices around the world, Keytos Shield, allows you to create local RADIUS servers in each region without having to set everything up from scratch.
  • Built for MSPs. A central management portal lets MSPs manage every customer’s Shield subscriptions from one place.
  • Try it without talking to anyone. Every subscription starts with a 30-day free trial, no credit card or sales call required, and you can also buy it through the Azure Marketplace.

Where it falls Short: Shield is opinionated by design. If you already run Microsoft Cloud PKI or SCEPman and want to keep it, or you need dedicated infrastructure in a single region with a 99.95% SLA, EZRADIUS at number two is the better fit. As any other Keytos tool, it was designed by ex-Microsoft engineers specifically for Entra ID, so if you are using Okta or Google Workspaces, Keytos Shield is not for you. Like most of the platforms in this list, Shield is a network authentication platform, not a guest marketing tool, so if you need a branded captive portal that collects visitor emails at your coffee shops, that is a different product category.

#2 - EZRADIUS: The Best Standalone Cloud RADIUS for Entra ID and Intune

Best for: organizations that already have a PKI, or that need dedicated infrastructure and enterprise SLAs.

EZRADIUS is the cloud RADIUS service that started it all for Keytos, built by ex-Microsoft engineers specifically for Entra ID and Intune environments and trusted by over 1,300 organizations worldwide. Where Shield is the all-in-one SaaS experience, EZRADIUS is the platform-as-a-service option. You deploy it as its own component, point it at whatever certificate authority you already trust, and tune every policy yourself.

Here is why it lands in second place, ahead of every other vendor on this list:

  • It checks Entra ID and Intune on every authentication, not just at enrollment. EZRADIUS validates that the user is still enabled, that they belong to the right Entra ID groups, and that the device is still compliant in Intune before it lets a device on the network. Disable a user in Entra ID and they are off the Wi-Fi on their next connection, not when their certificate expires.
  • Bring any CA you want. EZRADIUS integrates natively with EZCA, and it also accepts certificates from Microsoft Cloud PKI, AD CS, and SCEPman. If your PKI is already working, EZRADIUS can use it.
  • It supports every protocol you actually need. EAP-TLS for certificates, EAP-TTLS for Entra ID usernames and passwords, and legacy PAP, PEAP, MS-CHAPv2, and MAC Authentication Bypass for the printers and IoT devices that will outlive us all, over both classic RADIUS and RadSec.
  • Resilience you can tune. EZRADIUS runs across more than 20 regions with zonal and geo-redundancy and a 99.9% SLA. The Dedicated tier gives you your own infrastructure in a single region of your choice, and the Enterprise tier adds multi-region dedicated hosting with up to a 99.99% SLA and one-hour 24/7 support.
  • Data residency everywhere you need it. Dedicated instances in Europe, Australia, Canada, Latin America, Asia, Middle East, USA, and US Government, plus Entra ID commercial, and GCC High.
  • Local Proxy For organizations that cannot afford to lose their RADIUS services even when their internet is down, EZRADIUS includes a free RADIUS proxy that can do local authentications even when the connections to EZRADIUS or Entra ID or Intune are down.
  • A central portal for MSPs. MSPs can manage all of their customers’ EZRADIUS instances from one central management portal instead of juggling a console per customer.
  • Transparent pricing. The Basic tier has no base fee and starts at $1 per active identity per month, dropping to $0.10 at scale, and you only pay for users or devices that actually authenticated that month. EZRADIUS is SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified and available through the Azure Marketplace, so spend can count toward your MACC commitment.

Where it falls short: EZRADIUS’ biggest pro is also it’s biggest con, it is RADIUS only so if you do not already have a CA, you will either add EZCA or, more simply, go with Shield, which bundles both for a single per-user price. Additionally while you can use it with any MDM it is still locked down to Entra ID only, so if you use another IDP, EZRADIUS is not for you.

#3 - SecureW2: The Certificate Specialist

Best for: large organizations with dedicated PKI teams, and higher education.

SecureW2 has been in the certificate-based Wi-Fi business for a long time, and it shows. Its JoinNow suite pairs a managed PKI with a cloud RADIUS service, and its onboarding client is one of the most mature options for getting unmanaged devices onto EAP-TLS. It integrates with Entra ID, Intune, Okta, and Google Workspace, and reviewers consistently praise its support team.

Where it falls short: Pricing is quote-based, so you will not know what it costs until you have sat through a sales process, and the platform has a lot of knobs that make more sense for a university IT department than for a five-person IT team. For Microsoft shops that want to be up and running in an afternoon, it is too complicated for what they need.

#4 - Portnox Cloud: Full NAC in the Cloud

Best for: organizations that want a full network access control platform, not just RADIUS.

Portnox is a cloud-native NAC platform, and RADIUS is one part of a broader suite that includes device risk scoring, posture assessment, TACACS+, and zero-trust application access. It ships with a built-in certificate authority, supports SCEP enrollment through Intune and Jamf, and integrates with Entra ID and Okta. If your security team wants device posture policies that go beyond what Intune compliance already gives you, Portnox is a serious option.

Where it falls short: You are paying for a NAC platform, and per-device pricing adds up quickly once you count every laptop, phone, and tablet. Much of its posture data comes from its own agent, which overlaps with what Intune already collects. If your goal is to replace NPS and enforce Intune compliance, you can get there with less.

#5 - RADIUSaaS: Pure-Play RADIUS for Intune

Best for: Intune environments that already run SCEPman.

RADIUSaaS from glueckkanja is a focused, Microsoft-first cloud RADIUS service with RadSec support, and good Intune and Entra ID integration. It is a solid product for organizations that just require RADIUS and none of the bells and whistles that we have talked about in the previous offerings.

Where it falls short: Same as EZRADIUS RADIUSaaS does not include a PKI and is Microsoft only. The reason it is so low in our raking vs EZRADIUS and Keytos Shield that are also Microsoft only, is that it is lacking some of the features that EZRADIUS and Shield have specially for BYOD, and it costs more than both of those solutions.

#6 - JumpCloud: RADIUS Inside a Directory

Best for: organizations that use JumpCloud as their primary directory.

JumpCloud is a cloud directory and device management platform, and RADIUS comes bundled with it. If JumpCloud is already your source of truth for users and devices, enabling RADIUS is easy and you are not paying for another product. When JumpCloud is your identity provider, there is no reason to go with any other RADIUS provider.

Where it falls short: For Entra ID shops, the integration is the problem. According to JumpCloud’s own documentation, when you delegate authentication to Entra ID, you are limited to EAP-TTLS/PAP, MFA is not supported, and users must first be imported into JumpCloud and assigned to a RADIUS group. Federated Entra ID accounts fail outright. In other words, you end up running a second directory just to get Wi-Fi working which does not only add complexity, it also adds a lot of unnecessary costs.

#7 - IronWiFi: Budget RADIUS With a Captive Portal

Best for: MSPs and venues that need RADIUS plus a basic captive portal.

IronWiFi combines cloud RADIUS with a guest captive portal, supports a long list of access point vendors including UniFi, MikroTik, and TP-Link Omada, and publishes its pricing. It has a built-in HSM-backed PKI with SCEP integration for Intune and Jamf, and its multi-tenant console makes it friendly for MSPs managing many small customers.

Where it falls short: Its Microsoft integration is shallower than the providers above it. Users have to exist in the IronWiFi console or be auto-created by a connector, and we could not find documentation for real-time Intune compliance checks at authentication time. Its pricing is also spread across per-AP, per-user, and per-device models that are not always consistent between its own pages, so budget carefully.

#8 - Purple: A Guest Wi-Fi Platform With RADIUS Attached

Best for: hospitality, retail, and venue operators whose main goal is guest Wi-Fi and visitor analytics.

Purple started as a guest Wi-Fi and location analytics company, and that is still where it shines. It offers branded captive portals, visitor analytics, iPSK for IoT and multi-tenant buildings, and a cloud RADIUS service that syncs with Entra ID, Okta, and Google Workspace. It is vendor-neutral on access points, offers a managed PKI option for EAP-TLS, and has a 99.9% uptime SLA. If you run a chain of hotels or stadiums and want staff and guest Wi-Fi on the same platform as your marketing data, Purple is a reasonable choice.

Why it ranks last for Microsoft customers: Purple is built around the venue, not around your identity platform. Its RADIUS documentation does not describe real-time Intune compliance checks, which is the single most important zero-trust control for an Intune-managed fleet. Hosting is limited to EU, UK, and US regions, so Australian, Canadian, and GCC High customers are out of luck. Pricing is per access point and hidden behind a calculator or quote, which means you pay for your building’s footprint rather than the people who actually authenticate. And its RADIUS page lists SOC 2 alignment rather than a SOC 2 report, which is a meaningful distinction when your auditor asks. If what you need is secure staff Wi-Fi for an Entra ID organization, you would be paying for a guest marketing platform you will not use.

How to Choose the Best Cloud RADIUS Provider for Your Organization

If you skipped straight to this section, here is the short version:

  • You run Entra ID and Intune and do not have a PKI you love: Keytos Shield. You get the PKI, RADIUS, and BYOD onboarding in one subscription with one per-user price.
  • You run Entra ID and Intune and already have a CA, or need dedicated infrastructure: EZRADIUS. It works with the certificates you already issue and checks Entra ID user status, group membership, and Intune compliance on every authentication.
  • You have a large, dedicated PKI team and budget for it: SecureW2 is a strong option.
  • You want full NAC with device risk scoring beyond Intune: Portnox.
  • JumpCloud is your directory, not Entra ID: JumpCloud’s built-in RADIUS.
  • You run guest Wi-Fi for venues and care most about visitor analytics: IronWiFi on a budget, Purple if marketing data is the priority.

Whatever you choose, plan your migration so you are moving to certificates, not just moving your PEAP problem to someone else’s data center. Our guide to migrating NPS to the cloud walks through the cutover step by step, and our post on why Wi-Fi MFA through RADIUS is a bad idea covers one trap that a lot of vendors will happily sell you.

Cloud RADIUS Provider FAQs

What is the best cloud RADIUS provider in 2026?

For organizations that use Entra ID and Intune, Keytos Shield is the best cloud RADIUS provider in 2026. It is the only option that combines a cloud RADIUS service, an included cloud PKI, free BYOD onboarding with Keytos Connect, published per-user pricing, and government level trust with availability in Azure GCC High. If you already have a PKI, EZRADIUS is the best standalone cloud RADIUS service.

What is the difference between Keytos Shield and EZRADIUS?

Shield is an all-in-one SaaS platform that bundles cloud PKI, cloud RADIUS, and BYOD onboarding under one per-user license. EZRADIUS is a standalone cloud RADIUS service that works with any CA and offers dedicated infrastructure tiers. Both run on the same core infrastructure. Our Shield vs. EZCA + EZRADIUS guide breaks down the full feature and cost comparison.

Does Microsoft offer a cloud RADIUS service?

No. Microsoft has never shipped a cloud RADIUS service for Entra ID or Intune. The only first-party option is NPS, which runs on Windows Server and only authenticates against on-premises Active Directory. That gap is why cloud RADIUS providers exist.

Which cloud RADIUS providers include a PKI for EAP-TLS?

Keytos Shield (included at no extra cost), EZRADIUS (paired with EZCA), SecureW2, Portnox, IronWiFi, and Purple all include some form of PKI. RADIUSaaS requires a separate CA such as SCEPman or Microsoft Cloud PKI. JumpCloud only supports certificate authentication when JumpCloud is your identity provider.

What is the best alternative to NPS?

For Entra ID organizations, a cloud RADIUS service like Keytos Shield or EZRADIUS is the best NPS replacement. NPS cannot authenticate cloud-only Entra ID users or check Intune compliance, and it is one more Windows Server to patch. Our guide to moving NPS to the cloud covers the full migration.

Can I use cloud RADIUS with my existing access points?

Yes. Any access point, switch, or firewall that supports WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise or 802.1X can point to a cloud RADIUS service. Keytos has setup guides for Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Ruckus, UniFi, and more, and supports RadSec for vendors that offer it.

How much does a cloud RADIUS provider cost?

It varies widely by pricing model. Keytos Shield starts at $1.50 per user per month with PKI, RADIUS, and BYOD included, and EZRADIUS starts at $1 per active identity per month with no base fee. JumpCloud bundles RADIUS into its per-user directory plans, IronWiFi publishes per-AP and per-user pricing, and SecureW2, Portnox, and Purple generally require a quote or calculator.

Can I connect personal devices without enrolling them in MDM?

Yes, with the right provider. Keytos Shield, EZRADIUS, SecureW2, and Proxmox have BYOD tools that allow you to connect your devices to the network without an MDM.

Pick the Cloud RADIUS Provider Built for Your Identity Platform

Every vendor on this list can answer a RADIUS request. The question is whether your cloud RADIUS provider understands your identity stack ell enough to make every one of those answers a zero-trust decision. For Microsoft customers, that is Keytos Shield if you want the PKI, RADIUS, and BYOD onboarding in one subscription, or EZRADIUS if you already have a CA you want to keep.

The fastest way to find out is to try it. You can start a free Keytos Shield trial and have your first SSID authenticating with certificates in minutes, or schedule a FREE call with one of our identity experts to talk through your network, your migration off NPS, and whether Shield or EZRADIUS fits best.
