When you sign up for EZSSH, you will be asked to create a subscription either directly through the EZSSH portal or through Azure. Once created, the subscription will be the central place to manage your EZSSH instance. You can have multiple subscriptions if you want to separate different teams or projects.

How to Manage Access to your EZSSH Subscription

When a new subscription is created, you will be asked to specify a list of Subscription Administrators for the subscription. Subscription Administrators have full access to the subscription and can manage billing, configuration, and access for the subscription.

Who Can Be Added as a Subscription Administrator?

Entra ID Users and Groups can be added as Subscription Administrators. This allows you to use your existing Entra ID identities to manage access to your EZSSH subscription.

Do I Need to Add Anyone Who Uses EZSSH as a Subscription Administrator?

No, only those who need to manage the subscription need to be added as Subscription Administrators. For example, if you have a team of engineers who will be using EZSSH but do not need to manage the subscription, they do not need to be added as Subscription Administrators. Only those who need to manage the subscription, such as IT administrators or team leads, need to be added as Subscription Administrators. Later on, once you set up your Azure and GitHub policies, you can control who has access to use EZSSH through those policies without having to give them administrative rights to the subscription.
