How-To: Issue Server Certificates in Keytos Shield

Learn how to issue server certificates in Keytos Shield for your network’s servers, appliances, and domain controllers.

What is a Server Certificate in Keytos Shield?

If you have servers, appliances, or domain controllers in your network that need to securely communicate with each other or with clients, you will need to issue server certificates for them using Keytos Shield. For example, you might need to issue a RadSec client certificate for your network access points if they don’t already have one.

Keytos Shield allows you to issue individual server certificates via the Keytos Shield web interface. These certificates will be issued by the Keytos Shield SCEP CA, which means they will be trusted by any client or device that trusts the Keytos Shield Root CA.
